WIS, WWA | I had no plan

The Frugal Girl

Monday I found a package of chicken tenderloins in the freezer, so I thawed them and then seasoned and sauteed half of them. Tuesday I sauteed the rest of the chicken tenderloins and used them in a green salad, with homemade croutons on top. I love homemade croutons; they make a salad 10 times better, at least!

Sunday This was the day I had the squash soup/homemade crouton combo, in an effort to clean out my freezer. Tuesday We had too many leftovers in the fridge (happens in a jiffy with just two people!), Zoe had the rest of her sushi burrito, and I had the rest of the butternut squash soup, along with some more homemade croutons.

Monday I had a free frozen pizza from Safeway sitting in my chest freezer, so that’s what we ate! Friday We’ve got leftovers, so that’s probably what we will eat tonight. Sunday I had eaten a late lunch so I don’t think I even actually ate an official dinner. Rolls > turkey.

Noone ate the leftover corn, so I cut it off the cob and put it in the freezer to add to our favorite, Chicken, Black Bean & Corn Tacos | Slow Cooker Recipe. Homemade Roasted Tomato Sauce. I harvested Roma tomatoes from my one and only plant and made a big batch of my homemade roasted tomato sauce. FREE Shredding!

Eleven pounds of ham made a delicious Easter dinner with plenty of leftovers for another dinner, a breakfast casserole, and lots of ham sandwiches. I also put quite a bit in the freezer for later use and made ham stock from the bone for homemade ham and bean soup. More frugal shenanigans!
