What I Spent I went into this week with absolutely no menu plan…I was just winging it all week long and still, we didn’t eat out at all. I love homemade croutons; they make a salad 10 times better, at least! Wednesday Zoe and I were home at different times; she made herself soup and a grilled cheese sandwich.

What I Spent Since I spent some time last Friday doing a thorough job of planning, I did actually make an organized trip to Aldi this week. aforementioned planning Annnnnnd we did not get takeout this week, probably because of the planning. ? Wednesday Leftover chili. And maybe I will eat up some random leftovers.

I spent: $36 at a ramen place $41 at Sam’s Club And that makes $77. Monday A friend treated me to tacos, and Zoe ate her leftover burrito. Friday We have leftovers from last night, so we’ll probably eat those up tonight. Something very basic, or I’d have remembered it. 0 out of pocket for me! It is what it is.

Sunday Zoe ate some leftover pizza and I made myself a green salad topped with chicken. Wednesday Leftover broccoli noodle soup. Friday I have two more Dinnerly meal sets of ingredients here so perhaps I will make one of those. Monday I made a batch of this broccoli noodle soup and we had some fruit on the side.

I felt a little stumped about what to make for dinner, and I stopped at Safeway rather aimlessly, hoping for inspiration to strike. and then I went home and made an alfredo sauce for pasta, with some kale and leftover ham mixed in. Wednesday I had leftover broccoli salad + pasta, and Zoe had tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich.

What We Ate Saturday I ate dinner with a friend, and Zoe had leftover pizza when she got back from work. Tuesday Leftover chicken in a sandwich form for me, ramen for Zoe after her work shift. Being able to talk to Lisey all the time makes Hawaii feel not SO far away. Monday I picked up a rotisserie chicken from Safeway.
