Every month, our income must cover our business and household expenses, but many months in 2007, our income barely covered our business expenses, leaving nothing left for our household.

I still remember saving my change as a kid so I could “shop” for books at yard sales.) Although my parents never specifically taught me about finances, they lived a frugal life by necessity. I learned from the best, but I believe that a personal finance course should be a requirement for both high school and college graduation.
