I was up until 2:30am on Christmas Eve and my daughter and son-in-law were up until 3:30. After too many presents from parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins and too many opening-present cookies, we took a break for some dinner. Of course, everything didn’t get purchased or made or cooked but Christmas came anyway.

Of course, later on I did get some really nice real dolls from my St Louis Aunts. Our son was born in October, so I carried him all summer. Since I never knew that it wasn’t normal to play with corn cob dolls (by the way, Dolly did that too!), it was A-OK with me.
