Finally, I found some clothing for my husband and son that was still new with the tag at the thrift store that they loved! My Aunt Ida always gifted pre-loved items and they were some of the best gifts I ever received. Then I expanded to gift items for my mom. That is when I decided to thrift all of my gifts this year for Christmas.

I was up until 2:30am on Christmas Eve and my daughter and son-in-law were up until 3:30. After too many presents from parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins and too many opening-present cookies, we took a break for some dinner. Of course, everything didn’t get purchased or made or cooked but Christmas came anyway.

After all, I have many aunts and uncles who winter in Florida, so I would have family nearby and my mom could come to visit to escape the Michigan cold.
