Kid’s hair cuts: My son is 4. Food: I do a monthly menu plan. My aunt told me. on the weekends, she makes food for the week, cooks it and puts it in the fridge and/or freezer, writes it out on a piece of paper what to heat up and instructions with that. I bought my son two years worth (different sizes).

Our dog Chester (who I call my son) has been having some medical problems and the vet told us he thought it was cancer. To add insult to injury my aunt just moved to Florida (like last week) from Boston so she could be closer to family in her retirement. I’m excited to get a new food order and restock our old favorites.

I can still taste the special foods prepared for each Jewish holiday, still remember the excitement of packing carefully labeled uniforms for each summer’s two months at Camp Mar-Lin , and still remember Bubbi Bloom’s incredibly sage and still applicable advice better than I can remember what I ate for lunch yesterday.

But our best trip was in 2012, when we funded a trip to Yellowstone with our two sons, their wives and our grandchildren. One of our son’s and his wife peeled out after touring Yellowstone, while our other son, wife and grandkids went with us to a few other destinations prior to heading home. Plan to handle all ages.

Today a poor person in America probably has access to electricity, telephones, food, indoor plumbing, central heat and public transportation. Of course, later on I did get some really nice real dolls from my St Louis Aunts. Our son was born in October, so I carried him all summer. it was A-OK with me. as the old saying goes.
