Baking Soda. To deodorize and unclog your drains, pour 1/2 cup of baking soda down the drain. Don't be alarmed the vinegar will cause the baking soda to fizz, but it soon dissolves. Instead of throwing a used lemon or lime in the trash or compost, cut it into smaller pieces and drop it down the garbage disposal.

Discard the seeds ( in your compost ) or roast them like you would pumpkin seeds. Place the squash halves cut-side down in a baking dish. Thanks for reading. Carefully cut the squash in half lengthwise with a sharp chef's knife. With a spoon, scoop out the seeds. Fill the dish with water, about 1/2 inch up the sides of the dish.

After roasting, when the squash is cool enough to handle, scoop out and toss the seeds into your trash or compost. Pour the pasta into a 13 X 9 baking dish that has been prepared with cooking spray or butter. Bake for 20 - 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven until the cheese browns. Thanks for reading.

Instead of throwing the seeds into the compost, I roast them up for a fun snack. Spread the seeds out on a rimmed baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.
