I love a bargain. Years ago, Mom introduced me to the idea of going to garage sales. People sell the darnedest things at their garage sales. Garage sales take time, you have to hit quite a few before you find the item you want or need. If you are in more of a hurry, find a thrift store instead.

You may decide you don’t need or want the item at all if you push yourself to wait to get a bargain on it! However, I wait until spring and summer to buy decorations – and get them at garage sales. Winter clothes. Stores also stock up on gift sets with cosmetics for the holidays and may need to move it fast in January.
