Back when I was engaged and living on my own for the first time (I lived with my parents while in grad school to save on rent), I went to the library a lot and found a copy of the Tightwad Gazette. We rent now and are much happier. People are surprised that we are in our fifties and renting, but it works for us.

If you have snow shoes already, it is free, however, if you do not have snow shoes they can usually be rented from a company for a small fee. However, ice skating is usually fairly inexpensive at a community center or an outdoor rink and you can get a great workout. Fall Fall is my favorite time to get a workout outdoors.

Wild Bill Hickok was marshal there for a brief time. then rent a bike and ride a bit. We love experiencing what it was like in bygone days and one comfortable and inexpensive way to do that is with a train excursion. While you are there, checkout the other museums in the 5 star museum district. Ozark Highland Trail/Ozark Trail.

When they got married, they bought a duplex so that the rent money from the tenant in the upstairs apartment would pay the mortgage. I can’t even imagine how many repair bills from plumbers, electricians, appliance techs, and auto mechanics he has saved us over the years. My mom cut coupons and sewed her own clothes and mine, as well.
