In Huffington Post article Boomers Give New Meaning To Spoiling The Grandkids author Linda Stern reported: “Roughly 36 percent of the grandparents surveyed by AARP said “spoiling (grand)children by buying them too much” was a part of a grandparent’s financial role.”. It’s my grandkid!”.

That way, I can hit a lot of sales in just a few hours instead of spending time and gasoline driving around town. Books and DVDs. Garage sales and thrift stores are great places to find books and DVDs. I look for the neighborhood sales, which are usually either in spring or fall. They are perfectly functional and look great.

Read books on money and jobs such as Busy Day, Busy People or The Berenstain Bears, Trouble with Money. My grandkids were 6 and 3 and they really got into this! Buying gasoline. Talk about various car expenses, besides gasoline, like oil, windshield washer fluid, mechanics, tuneups, tires, car payment interest and etc.
