Below is a list of things I (or hubby) have personally saved and reused. Shopping bags are reused as carry alls for gifts and travel needs. Decorated bags (such as those you put gifts in) are just reused for gift giving. We tear down big boxes and lay them on the garage floor in case of oil leaks. Containers.

Canning CAN Be Cheap!

I have found that garage sales , flea markets , estate sales or Mom/Grandma’s basement are the best places to score a great deal on used canning jars. The best place to find used canning accessories cheaply is eBay , although sometimes you can get lucky and spot some items at garage sales , too. Smell Great on the Cheap.

Super Saver Holiday Ideas

Plan ahead and hit garage sales, but especially estate sales. Reuse your own decorations. A meat and two vegetables is plenty for an entree – especially when served with a bread and gravy. I wrap loaves of homemade bread in aluminum foil and tie a bow around the middle for a special gift to close friends and relatives.
