Luckily the kids didn’t get up early on Christmas morning. My granddaughter laughed at her brother’s antics and then tried to consume the shiny wrapping paper. After too many presents from parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins and too many opening-present cookies, we took a break for some dinner.

The family behind us, for instance, lived for years in their basement with their brood of kids (they ended up with around 15 I remember). Grandma put us kids to bed in the south bedroom when we stayed over at the farm. We had a coal stove at home, but my brother and my shared bedroom was just a few feet from the stove.

Examples: Your brother drives a long distance truck and can take on riders. Your Uncle is a manager at Walmart, have him take your graduate behind the scenes to explain the store systems and jobs. Rent a luxury yacht or car for the day and take them on a lets pretend voyage or sign them up for a rich kid camp.
