I have used the extra money to pay off debt, fund family trips, or build up our Christmas savings. Years ago during our Debt Freedom Plan, I avoided using credit cards, not because we had credit card debt, but I was trying to limit our overall spending. cashback from our travel rewards Visa.

I have used the extra money to pay off debt, fund family trips, or build up our Christmas savings. This trip was a reward for our years of paying off six figures of debt , and we were going to pack a lot into our week. I donated plasma 5 times in February which is short of my goal of 8 times. Whew, got all of that!

I don’t have to drive my kids everywhere, which means I have more time to do things like cook or projects around the house, or volunteer (and build connections) in my community. I was in 4th grade, and had 2 younger siblings when they began their debt-repayment journey. Do you have any tips for frugal travel or vacations?

I would like to retire and not have to worry about every last penny, and to be able to travel a little and treat my kids. If I could spend it without strings, I might just donate it to a food pantry. He got his roofing urges out when he build our garage last year though!) Why do I want to save money? 😉 10.

We also love travel and plan on doing much more of that when we retire. International travel when I was in high school really shaped the course of my life and I wanted to share that with my boys. I’d send some to my nieces to help with their college expenses and would donate half to our local food pantry.
