If your child is wanting to take music lessons, think about renting the instrument instead of buying. College students have the option of renting books now.

I make my coffee at home, pack my lunch, and go straight home after work. Buy in Bulk Apart from using coupons, I advocate buying in bulk when at the grocery store. I do my bulk shopping at the end of the month, so I don’t have to spend too much of my weekly $300 on essential purchases.

During weekends and family days, you can set-up some fun activities at home to lessen the expenses. You can rent a movie, turn-off the lights, grab a bowl of popcorn, and enjoy it with the family. Buying in bulk does not mean buying more than the amount you need. It is not the location that matters but the company.

Clark, our cat, the day after we brought him home from the shelter. Back when I was engaged and living on my own for the first time (I lived with my parents while in grad school to save on rent), I went to the library a lot and found a copy of the Tightwad Gazette. This only happened after we stopped owning homes and became renters.

I rented a booth in an antique mall in a neat old building out in a small town close by us and went out after antiques to fill it. To be successful, I think you need access to free or really cheap bulk sale items. You need to have a popular space that YOU own (and charge others to rent space) to display and sell your goods.
