No kids = no parties or haunted houses = money saved. Tip # 2 Recycle/reuse costumes. My daughter-in-law came up with this idea, buying bulk pumpkins and bulk flowers. What do you do to recycle/reuse on Halloween? Once the kids left home, we ended up with zero trick or treaters at our house on a state highway.

Do they recycle? Do they use recycled products? Buy in bulk. Buy in bulk as many items as you can. This saves on packaging as well as transportation because larger amounts can be shipped in one load. Recycle, recycle, recycle. Also, be sure to buy recycled products like toilet paper.

This isn’t a big problem if excess food from one meal is recycled as meals or snacks in the following days, but you need to rethink your portion control if it’s just going straight in the bin. Be careful with bulk buying. You can save a good chunk of money by buying things in bulk but only when it’s a sensible decision.
