I have a soft spot for good sales, whether they be at the local retail store (I bought way too many Gymboree shirts for my daughter when they were on sale for $3.99) or at a garage sale. If something is cheap at a garage sale, I may buy it even if I’m not sure that I’ll use it.

We should convince ourselves that it is OK and that it doesn’t make us look cheap or bad. My daughter-in-law walked into a furniture store and talked the manager into giving her a 20% off the top discount on all furniture purchased that day – since she was buying a lot. Garage sales – need I say more?
