I keep a roll of heavy paper (which I buy at Home Depot for about $11 for a roll about 2 inches thick and 2 feet wide) to use in wrapping packages, protecting floors during home projects, making garage sale signs and etc. I just printed them out on my ink jet home printer. Play test the game.

Although Mom didn’t sew much (she did mend), she made sure I took Home Ec in high school. Clothing is cheap, sewing is not. We tend to throw away clothing instead of mending it and we count on cheap overseas labor to keep manufactured clothing easily affordable. Sewing today has dropped out of main stream life.

Along the way, on one of my garage sale shopping expeditions, I stumbled across a matched pair of wing backs (non-reclining) for $20 each. The second chair I hauled home so I could have more time to complete it. Never re-upholster a cheap chair. Just buy another cheap chair instead. Don’t buy cheap material.
