I wonder if I’m really being frugal or if I am just being cheap. To me, frugal implies using resources in the wisest fashion and cheap implies a specific focus on getting the lowest price. Help me out, am I being cheap or just smart about money? I save tape and paper and old paint drop sheets. Cheap or frugal?

It is so cheap, usually $1 for a big bag at your local dollar store. Do a search for free Halloween printables, print them out, then lay them on top of Halloween themed scrapbook paper. Find inexpensive knick knacks at your local dollar store or thrift store that fall into the Halloween theme. Get spraying!

If you are in more of a hurry, find a thrift store instead. But, find one in a high end neighborhood, one where the store sorts through the donations to select only the best. The darn paint ended up costing almost as much as a new (cheap) wheelbarrow would have cost. A brand new croquet se t – $5. Books and DVDs.

Place An Ad About a week before your garage sale, you might want to place an ad in the local paper, especially if you are having a large garage sale. First, you can consider donating the items to a local shelter or thrift store. Canning CAN Be Cheap! You can also list the items on Craigslist or Ebay.

Some get stuff from stores, the less financially favored head for thrift stores, garage sales, Mom’s house or the trash pickup routes. It hurts to see it go, especially if it goes cheap, but it has to go. We struggle to get more stuff – without money it can be difficult.
