Skip the straw So many places now are banning plastic straws, because they aren't recyclable and mostly just end up in the ocean, aspiring to become a part of that plastic island. Because I love eating at food trucks, but I hate plastic utensils.and there's never anyplace to recycle them (if they even are recyclable).

I'm not opposed to buying this when I get to my destination, but I'm cheap and it's harder to find solution some places, like Europe. I've tried multiple brands, but I really like Bite , because they work much better than others, taste better, and come in glass bottles that can be recycled or reused.

Because they can be washed and reused they are much cheaper in the long run. Reuse Bags You can save a little money by reusing your plastic storage bags. Cheap Cleaners Cleaning the kitchen can be hard work, but it does not have to be expensive. You can even make your own dish towels out of old bath towels.

You can make your own or your can buy them for cheap. Use recycled toilet pape r. By switching to recycled toilet paper you can help save 1 million trees a year and 1.35 They can be thrown in the wash and reused again for next time. Recycle and reuse. I even carry one in my purse so I am always prepared.

Avoid buying cheap clothing new. Instead of paying for television programming, view free TV or cheap movies on Netflix (or maybe even read a real book!). Learn to hem and patch and sew on buttons to repair minor issues with clothing. Learn how to remove spots and do it as soon as the clothing gets dirty. Buy good clothing, used.
