Ironically, this happened at Christmas-totally out of the blue. From my mother: she taught me mostly everything including checkbook balancing, saving, investing, economics, etc. I usually take laundry pods & wash clothes wherever for less luggage/cost. If $1000 was dropped into your lap today, what would you do with it?

Business casual clothing was what it called for – meaning khaki pants and a collared shirt for the guys and the same for the girls unless they choose to wear a dress or skirt/blouse. According to a Nielson study , most of us just get these products from the local grocery or discount store, but even so, their cost adds up. How about you?

Our home furnishings include many cherished family heirlooms, such as an iron bed my folks bought at a sale, or the hand carved bed frame purchased by my great-grandfather. Often older cloth furniture retains the smells from its prior life. Dealing with smaller cloth items. How to make used furniture usable. The sun bakes out.
