So often, being environmentally friendly and saving money go hand in hand. Here are some simple things our family does to be more environmentally friendly and to save money: 1. Hang clothes to dry. We live in the city, so we’re not allowed to hang our laundry outside. Make your own laundry soap.

You can save a lot of money, be eco-friendly, and keep toxic chemicals away from your home by making your own non-toxic cleaners. Sprinkle baking soda on the toilet brush and remove stained areas. Make clothes in the laundry “brighter” by adding a 1/2 cup vinegar to the rinse cycle. That product is vinegar.

We also stocked up at the Cody, WY Walmart on things like soda, chips, bread and etc. You will save gas money and frustration. Wait until later to do laundry. Either take enough clothes to last your trip in the park or hand wash and air dry what you need day by day. How did you save money? a cup for a 12 oz.

When he plants something new that needs a steady supply of surface water, due to shallow roots, he sometimes uses a 2 liter soda bottle.

Mix up a few teaspoons of baking soda with crushed lavender. Mix up crushed basil and lavender along with some baking soda. Add freshness to your laundry. Simply fill a muslin bag (found in most laundry supply sections) with crumbled lavender and place it into your washer with your laundry. Control trash can odor.
