If there are any local college campuses in your area, see if there are bands playing. Date like a college kid. You each choose something for the other to find at a consignment, thrift, or vintage shop. Sometimes cheap eats can be the best dates. Find a happy hour special you can catch at a hole in the wall spot.

Boy, I knew it would be a challenge to declutter while in college and caring for my two children, but I honestly thought I'd be doing a little better than I am. I spent my spring break in bed with the flu instead of spring cleaning. Not sure which is worse, lol. Total items = 147 1797 - 147 = 1650 items to go! I'm at 362.

During our vacation, we hired a college kid (whom we trusted) to stay at our house, collect the mail, water our vegetable garden, and take care of the dog. Services could also include dog walking, and/or poop pick up. We got our dog, Ruby, last summer and we didn’t want to put her in a kennel so soon after we brought her home.

I had also been teaching one class a quarter at a local career college so I increased to two classes a quarter. Consignment stores and auctions are a great way to buy clothes and furniture at low prices. I was shocked at how much money I had left over at the end of my paychecks that was slipping through my fingers.
