One of the things many of you may or may not know about me is that my entire university education has been acquired while working full time. When I was allotted TV time, I didn’t use it to watch the standard children’s shows. In Grade 12 I received a scholarship for the college that offered this program.

The first job, doing institutional research at a community college, was going to challenge my mind, use my refined research skills and writing ability, was in a more formal office setting and had the perks of free classes (which was nice if I wanted to do any sort of personal development). I needed a job. I sat down and analyzed each job.

He didn’t have his first job until the summer between high school graduation and college. I had reasonably good grades and planned to go to college after graduating. Time is a factor in high school, because teenagers will be in school all day. It’s like having a full-time job.
