It takes about 45 minutes in the oven. Discard the seeds ( in your compost ) or roast them like you would pumpkin seeds. Cook 45 minutes in a 375 degree oven. They didn't even flinch; they just gobbled it up like they do when they eat pasta. Shred into spaghetti stings, toss with your favorite flavorings and dinner is served.

Pop the coconut into a preheated 400 degree oven for 15-20 minutes. Remove the coconut from the oven with an oven mitt. But the coconut is pretty warm from the oven to hold without a towel and the towel also contains the brown husk from flying all over your kitchen.don't ask me how I know that.). It was kinda grey.

Limited the use of our oven in the summer. Compost kitchen scraps. Compost our leaves and grass. Use compostable garbage bags. Keep our bedroom temperature at 17 degrees Celsius in the winter and use an extra blanket on the bed. Use a heat bag instead of turning up the heat when we are cold.

After roasting, when the squash is cool enough to handle, scoop out and toss the seeds into your trash or compost. Bake for 20 - 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven until the cheese browns. You can follow the same steps to roast an acorn squash that I outlined in this post: How to Roast a Butternut Squash. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.

Instead of throwing the seeds into the compost, I roast them up for a fun snack. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely.
