I live just outside of Richmond, VA with my husband, 18-year-old twin daughters, and our two dogs. I currently work part-time from home, mostly behind a computer. I’m a huge fan of mystery novels and wondered what was involved in becoming a licensed PI in my state (a 60-hour training course and a culminating 3-hour exam).

Some people keep their recipes on the computer, but I prefer my binder with its well-used, splattered pages. I had to chuckle when I saw my training calendar from 2004, the year before our first daughter was born. My recipe binder is a very important part of my kitchen. I totally blew off my workout that day.

And I still use a filing cabinet for my office papers, instead of scanning them onto the computer. Major Category: Education - I keep a folder for each daughter. become a fan and 'like' FBS on Facebook. I still keep my favorite recipes in a binder instead of an online recipe portal. It has saved us time and our sanity.

In Sunday's paper there were great deals on office supplies such as pens, staplers, notebooks, post-its, computer paper among other items. My daughter is content for at least 2 hours. Other uses for back-to-school supplies: 1. Stock up on supplies for the home office. Stock up for birthday or Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers.

Our daughter is going to Washington this year to spend time with her boyfriend and his family, and that means my husband and I will have the house to ourselves…and we plan on doing absolutely nothing !
