Right before the pandemic started, I opened 529 College Savings Accounts for our daughters. My oldest was in eighth grade and one of my goals for 2020 was to start saving consistently for both daughters’ college education. Since March of 2020, over $1300 has been transferred into my daughters’ 529 College Savings Accounts.

What We Ate this Week: Monday: We went out for dinner to celebrate my oldest daughter’s 11th birthday. While I don’t advocate the use of credit cards with a continuing balance, we do use a credit card on many purchases and pay the balance off when the bill comes. Our mission: Live WELL, On LESS Money.

My daughter does competitive cheerleading and that itself is $3K a year (not including travel). I stocked up on several sizes for the next 2-3 years… for my daughter, last Sept, Crazy 8 had a coupon and a sale on summer clothes. I paid it all in cash (try not to pay in credit cards…). I wait for the good sale.
