We took a day trip to a small town in our area several years ago with our grown son and daughter-in-law. Sometimes you get cash discounts. Cash is almost universally accepted. You’ll never be declined when using cash.

Our daughter is 24 and was adopted from Eastern Europe when she was one week short of a year old. Our son is 29 and biological. He married the love of his life almost two years ago, so now we have a daughter-in-law, too. Just over the past week, our son replaced the fuel pump and exhaust system on his truck.

It was the trip of a lifetime with our extended family (two sons, their spouses and two of our grandchildren). Old Faithful Inn and Lake Yellowstone Hotel are both wonderfully historic structures and both offer free guided tours. We are just back from a road trip from the mid west to Yellowstone National Park and back.

I’m a long-distance cyclist, a triathlete, a wife, a mother of two, a sister, a daughter, a friend, DIY-er, and a community member! Sunrise with my daughter at Lake Michigan Our son is now 15, and about 25 hours into his private pilot’s license, which he’s funding by earning money working for my father-in-law.
