I’ve been an architect, day-care teacher to toddlers, and library clerk, but am currently a SAHM to a 14yo son and 9yo daughter. While we were still renting an apartment, I researched areas with lower property taxes, scouted out my ideal neighborhoods, and waited for a smaller, less expensive house to come on the market.

Our daughter is 24 and was adopted from Eastern Europe when she was one week short of a year old. He married the love of his life almost two years ago, so now we have a daughter-in-law, too. Alan and I, by choice, bought land in an area with low property taxes. Mary, thanks so much for joining in!
