I’ve been an architect, day-care teacher to toddlers, and library clerk, but am currently a SAHM to a 14yo son and 9yo daughter. Besides dealing with my sudden unemployment when my oldest child was a toddler, I was hoping to figure out a way to extend my time at home with him. We share our home with a 70lb rescued mutt.

Drive him, then get back to get my daughter ready for school. Had to work today so I worked at my real job until 4 when my daughter gets home. As soon as my daughter gets home, leave to pick up my stepson at the bus stop. Get home, and get my daughter ready for bed. Get home, have to take hubby to work.

Summer jobs become permanent ones; family or friends pressure young people toward options that avoid temporary unemployment. I didn’t even realize that most jobs required a doctorate in Psychology to really use the knowledge in a career. Using this as the sole means to pick your future life can be very limiting.

Because in doing this I will be implementing every frugal, money-saving strategy I know of, which goes far beyond just using coupons. I am buying a treadmill and using it! Make better use of my time, which will include staying off of Facebook and Pinterest until work is done. My daughter will continue her Disney Articles.
