Recycling is great for the environment and we should all be doing it (in spite of my title), but reusing is even better. When you can reuse or re-purpose an item, you are not only saving it from the landfills, but you are also saving the expense and energy which would have been expended when you recycle. We have a few made out of stainless steel that keep our drinks cold and are very durable. They can be thrown in the wash and reused again for next time. A fridge will protect your food from spoiling at a temperature between 38 and 42 degrees F. Recycle and reuse. I even carry one in my purse so I am always prepared.

There is a lovely thrift store not far from my neighborhood that receives donations from the folks in the local golfing gated community. I wash and reuse freezer bags. Endanger my heath with sub standard food, drugs or doctors. But, if I had the strength and thought I could do a good enough job on it, I might be tempted!
