Clothing Bags If you donate clothing to your local thrift stores , then these bags can help you out. Recycle If none of these circumstances apply to you, you can always recycle your grocery bags. Many grocery stores will have a place where you can bring your plastic bags and leave them to be recycled.

Try these tips for a better thrifting experience. :: Don’t go in a rush and leave the kids at home (if you can). Not all thrift stores are created equal.

You might uncover some garments that have seen better days and should probably have been recycled some time ago. Anything you now longer want that is still wearable and in reasonable condition can be donated to thrift stores. You probably will find clothes that you had forgotten you even had; I certainly did!

We do put up decorations (ones I buy at garage sales or thrift stores and reuse each year). Tip # 2 Recycle/reuse costumes. Buy one then sell, donate or exchange it. Put your unwanted Halloween decorations out for reuse by donating them. What do you do to recycle/reuse on Halloween? Free Kids Crafts has some ideas.

Recycling is a simple and obvious practice that children can easily understand. Teach them how to recycle household items like plastic bottles, aluminum cans, paper, etc. You can even let them manage the responsibility in your household and reward with them with the earnings from recycling cans and bottles at local recycle centers.

When people think of minimalism, they often picture families living an almost zero-waste lifestyle, meticulously composting and recycling so they only have a single bag of trash per year. Or they think of selling their possessions and heading off into the great unknown, with only a single suitcase and a laptop. We were tired of the clutter.

I feel like I made a lot of trips to the thrift store to donate our stuff, but my house will tell you otherwise. That book has changed my outlook on reusing, recycling, making do, and rethinking one use products. It was a long road and we were finally non-mortgage debt FREE!! 2 – Reduce our clutter. Moving on to 2020!
