Food/shopping. Fast food was rare. There wasn’t a restaurant on every corner and people didn’t eat out much. Most food at the grocery store came from the USA. Out of season produce, if available at all, was super expensive. Gasoline stations did not serve food, have coffee or provide bath rooms.

In my experience, I found that changing my eating habits helped me lose weight more than just exercising. Eliminate processed foods. Eat fruits and vegetables at every meal.
