Deal of the Week: Ruffle Bikini

Cheap Chica's Guide To Style

If you watched The Hills on Monday you know all about the “boys trip&# that got crashed by LC and her crew, but what got my attention was the surprisingly stylish and unexpected choice of swimwear worn by Stephanie Pratt. She’s not one that I typically look to for style direction, but I totally loooooooved her adorable ruffle bikini top!

To Mini or Maxi, That is the Question…

Work With What You've Got

Maxi dresses confuse me. It’s summer. It’s hot. And they are long. And cover a lot of leg. Which seems like it would just make you hotter. On the other hand, it’s summer, and we all know how I feel about shaving my legs. I think for the most part, I’m not into long dresses because they hide my legs. And I like my legs, so I prefer to show them off, but as I get older I prefer to show them off and cover them at the same time, like with tights pants, leggings or tights.

Look for Less: Manolo Blahnik

Cheap Chica's Guide To Style

Finding a black sandal in the summer can be a real challenge…they often feel too heavy for most of the feminie and flirty fashions you opt for during those warmer months, but I just tried these on and I fell in love. I don’t EVER buy black shoes, but I’ve been purchasing a lot of nude and ivory dresses/skirts over the last few weeks and I really like the juxtaposition of a black shoe with the outfit and it gives some balance to the lighter color I’m wearing on top.

Here’s one of my favorite celeb-reality stars walking the red carpet at the Bravo A-list awards in a Marchesa gown. So at least 4 levels of leg shaving come to mind. I’ll start with the most extreme and move towards the laziest… 1. The full on top to bottom beach wear shave. Takes forever. Hate it. Love the beach. 2. The shorts/ short skit and flip flips shave, upper thigh all the way down. Some kids even have to shave their toes. It’s not our fault we were born brunettes. 3.
