For 20 or so years I’ve been homeschooling my kids, and am now down to about 1 1/2 (one full-time homeschooler, and one doing College Credit Plus with some support). We rent now and are much happier. We’ve saved so much on home improvement projects–when you rent you don’t worry about such things!

When they got married, they bought a duplex so that the rent money from the tenant in the upstairs apartment would pay the mortgage. We, as a country, owe our young people a more comprehensive education. He says we were busy building the house and our careers and it was money well spent because it freed up our time.
