We gave up cable many years ago , but realize now we simply traded one cable bill into TOO many subscriptions. We were paying $67 a month for our membership prior to his barter and he loved working there, so it was a win-win. 17 – Find a part-time job. This is an area that I also need to review.

Now-I’m a single parent who works part-time, cares for my elder mother, homeschools & runs a farm. What’s your best frugal win? Used bookstores, fair trade products, and locally sourced food/baskets/pottery are favorites, in addition to monthly outings with my kids. This means funds are tight.

Instead of spending his birthday check for $10, my husband put it in savings – every single time. Peggy : Something really cool being done today is that the stay-at-home Moms trade babysitting days so they can get some time off and give the kids a play day. I worked a part time job the weekends he wasn’t working.
