Needless to say, our relationship suffered, his health suffered and now he has a list of regrets about not being the father, husband, son, brother and friend he feels he should have been. Sunrise with my daughter at Lake Michigan Our son is now 15, and about 25 hours into his private pilot’s license, which he’s funding by earning money working for my father-in-law. For me, being in the kitchen and making food for people is an act of love. These options are usually a LOT less than nearby restaurant food.
