He has paid a price to win with hard work and sacrifice to reach his goals, and I truly admire him for that. Renting, not having super nice furniture or cars, having mismatched dishes and bedding. So we would cook at home and take leftovers for lunch the next day. If married, who initiated the debt free goal?

Unfortunately, we did not hit that goal and in part, have made some major changes to our Debt Freedom Plan. At the time we were renting an office space in a strip mall, but when we discovered a foreclosure in our town that seemed like a great idea on paper, we jumped at the chance. Our goal is still debt freedom.
