A couple of thoughts that might explain the steadiness of my spending: The price of groceries has gone up in recent years I was definitely able to get more bang for my buck years ago as compared to now. Now, I regularly stop in at Safeway (decidedly NOT the cheapest grocery store!), Could I get it lower? Good enough is good enough.
