Food/shopping. Fast food was rare. Most food at the grocery store came from the USA. The only discount store was the 5 and dime aka ‘the dime store’ It did not sell food (except 1 penny candies). Coupons were in the newspaper. The Sunday newspaper was the best source to get them. All TV was free.
