at Safeway Sooo, $110.50 Monday I found a package of chicken tenderloins in the freezer, so I thawed them and then seasoned and sauteed half of them. Thursday I rummaged through my freezer and found some chili. I will be winging it, based on what is in my fridge/freezer. ? Chiquita looks a little mad here!

I spent: $4 at Safeway $83 at Sam’s Club So, $87 for me. Monday I got some chili out of the freezer and we ate that with some applesauce, also from the freezer. What I Spent It’s December, guys! As you may imagine, it was not a week of prize-winning kitchen endeavors. Let’s see if I can remember what we ate.

What I Spent I spent: $30 on a Hungry Harvest box $34 at Safeway $15 on fried chicken So, $79 for me. Monday I had a free frozen pizza from Safeway sitting in my chest freezer, so that’s what we ate! But here in Frugal Girl world, it’s business as usual. And Zoe picked up some dinner on the way home from work.

I spent: $147 at Sam’s Club $15 at Safeway $31 on a Hungry Harvest box Sooo, $193 for me this week. Monday I picked up a rotisserie chicken from Safeway. Thursday I knew I had a little bit more rotisserie chicken left in the fridge, so I threw together a chicken noodle soup, using broth from my freezer.

The Frugal Girl

I spent: $32 at Aldi $8 at Safeway $17.50 Then I stirred in the cooked couscous along with some red pesto from Aldi, and topped it with the last of a bag of mozzarella from the freezer. Tuesday I sauteed some ham from the freezer, then sauteed some chopped kale, then added in leftover mac and cheese plus some milk and cream.

I let it cool thoroughly, then put it in a plastic bag and stick it in the freezer. If you have a chest freezer or other non-defrosting freezer, homemade bread can stay fresh for several months in its frozen state. In a self-defrosting freezer, though, I’d try to eat it up more quickly than that.
