What I Spent So I went to pull together my grocery spending for the week and I realized that it’s all quick trips to Safeway. Sunday Leftover sandwiches; they’re great reheated in the toaster oven on the air-fryer setting. Wednesday Leftover chicken quesadillas. We had some raw veggies and fruit on the side.

31 Days to Slash your Grocery Spending. I found lots of frozen fruit that we will use for smoothies. I also found a big bag of frozen grape tomatoes and pasta that I will use to make Pasta with Clams and Fresh Tomatoes. I also found a small container of leftover Chicken & Black Bean Taco Meat.

Designate one night a week as “raid the fridge’ night to get rid of leftovers. Everyone’s plate might look different, but you’ll at least use up the leftovers and reduce the waste. If you don’t think the food in the fridge will be eaten before it goes bad, place leftovers in a freezer container, label, and store in the freezer.
