For 20 or so years I’ve been homeschooling my kids, and am now down to about 1 1/2 (one full-time homeschooler, and one doing College Credit Plus with some support). How did you get interested in saving money? What’s the “why” behind your money-saving efforts? Maybe four years?

How did you get interested in saving money? I learned to save money by watching my parents. (I I still remember saving my change as a kid so I could “shop” for books at yard sales.) When they got married, they bought a duplex so that the rent money from the tenant in the upstairs apartment would pay the mortgage.

How did you get interested in saving money? My interest in frugality is less about saving money specifically, and more about making good use of the resources I have. They had me, and then my mom decided to go back to school full-time and get a PhD.
