I saw that you don’t exchange Christmas gifts with nieces and nephews on your side. What did Christmas and birthday gifts for nieces and nephews look like when they were young? As far as Christmas stuff I do now…well, last Christmas and this Christmas, I’m in single mom and full-time college student mode.

My niece goes to Goodwill and buys what I can only describe as bags of junk, and she makes a full-time income selling it on eBay. This will be harder than you think, but keep reminding yourself why you’re doing this to begin with! You’d be amazed at the things people will buy. It’s just easy.

For 20 or so years I’ve been homeschooling my kids, and am now down to about 1 1/2 (one full-time homeschooler, and one doing College Credit Plus with some support). On one of our driving trips, we visited the Shrine of the World Apostolate of Fatima in New Jersey on our way to see a niece at her college.
