I took at least three trunks full of “stuff” to Goodwill, I had a garage sale, and I sold things online. And then, well, like a weed that just won’t stop growing, the stuff started piling up again. My children love to draw and paint, and I love seeing their work. Boy, did I declutter.

Garage sale and thrift store furniture bargains abound. My daybed mattresses were previously used by a young girl, in her growing up bedroom, then stored by the parents for years. The toy ice cream table and chairs from my Mom’s childhood have an iron frame, which I stripped and spray painted. The sun bakes out.

I thought it would be fun to have a board game that reinforces thoughts on starting and growing a business. I knew I wanted players to have to make certain decisions that would lead to the start up and growing of the business. I will probably use an old garage sale board game as the base, and just glue the printed game mat to it.
