I love to shop garage sales. Let the kids see what is the ‘in’ thing at school by waiting until afterLabor Day to buy clothing at retail stores – that way they know they will be cool! Rent Don’t Buy. If your child is wanting to take music lessons, think about renting the instrument instead of buying.

Lists for Santa Claus, or for birthday gifts start them out and soon they are eyeing and selecting from the wonderful bounty at the stores. We rent a shelter (usually), and it is bare! Some get stuff from stores, the less financially favored head for thrift stores, garage sales, Mom’s house or the trash pickup routes.

Rent instead of own. If you calculate your mortgage interest, the cost of insurance and maintenance, buying can be much more expensive than renting. And if you rent, save money and then invest the difference. Shop around at garage sales, thrift stores and online classifieds for furniture and other household items.

Vanilla cupcakes I stored all my equipment in a dishpan in my dorm room. Eat at grocery stores! In the US, many grocery stores (especially in cities) will have hot or cold bars where you can grab food that can be eaten immediately, or warmed up. Hosting garage sales & reselling items.
