Sure I knew about the ‘White sales’ – the ones stores used to have in January on sheets and towels and such, but I really hadn’t a clue that there is a best time to buy many other things! However, I wait until spring and summer to buy decorations – and get them at garage sales. Winter clothes. Brand name TVs.

On January 1st, I declared my word for 2014 to be DECLUTTER. The shoe shelf in our garage. I found myself feeling suffocated by our home, my schedule, my diet, our budget, and my mind, so I’m focusing on decluttering in 2014 and hopefully by the end of the year, I’ll feel much freer and less stressed. Much easier to just grab some for just $1 than try to find the correct box in the garage! These deals run through Saturday, January 25. I am especially excited about the highlighters. Since we moved I can’t find ours. Be sure you check your local Office Depot ad here before you make a special trip.

I want to go through our basement, closets, and garage to look for unused items that we can sell. If we’re successful, life WILL be different in January 2017…for the better. Apply any Found Money to Debt. This will also be the year that we clean out our clutter. I’ll apply that money to the debt.
