Our two goats I’m planning to milk next year We also have a big garden, fruit trees, a medicinal herb garden and grow some cut flowers. Part of my flower garden this year I hate the idea of being haunted by money-woes when my husband and I are retired. We also have three cats! Gretchen, thanks so much for participating!

Home repairs, construction, electrical, auto repair, technology – he’ll try anything after suitable research of YouTube and other resources. I should have known he was special as he asked for a set of “Time-Life” home repair books when he was in college. He is so talented at DIY.

Weeding gardens $150 a year for 40 years totals $6000. Using only our last two houses, and calculating on cleanings weekly, we saved $200 a month for 10 years and on our larger home, $300 a month for 20 years for a total of $96,000. 40,720 Home Repair. Do it yourself home repair can really go either way.

With the internet, you can get practical how to information, illustration and even movies on almost any maintenance or repair topic you might need. Home Repair – Fix It When It Breaks. Although we are not what I would call handymen, even we have learned how to do jobs that continually pop up as repairs in our home.

I regularly find Magnolia Home items for dirt cheap, and they make great gifts! My husband got all the gardening tools he needed at a fraction of the price. Income is ANY money that comes in (paychecks, side jobs, selling things, etc…). Honestly, when we need something specific, I’ll check Bargain Hunt before I go anywhere else.
