And you don’t have to buy a new ugly sweater, you could either visit your favorite thrift store or decorate a sweater you already own. Host a Wacky Gift Exchange . Choose a wacky theme and have everyone bring a wrapped gift accordingly. The gifts don’t have to be expensive to be fun and often times hilarious.

If you are in more of a hurry, find a thrift store instead. Expect to pay a bit more in a thrift store, but if it is run by a charitable organization, you can feel good about paying a few bucks more because you are helping out the cause. It will be an extra gift for my grandson’s family next Christmas. Books and DVDs.

This is another Christmas gift. I don’t think it comes across in the photos, but the sweater actually has little bits of sage green running through it (and pink, and lilac , and purple, and mauve, and grey and light blue and gold and more!). Nathan thrifted them for about 10 bucks. I choose this one at Nordstrom Rack.
