My grown kids are also savers and I have high hopes that the grandchildren will follow their example. Helping the parents teach my grandchildren to save is an ongoing project of mine. Lastly, being a saver sets an example for your children (or grandchildren) to model. Saving first can help you avoid usury interest rates.

I wanted a place for our family to gather – adult children and grandchildren along with us. I wouldn’t have minded if it was once or twice a year during the off season, but this person acted offended if I refused to give up high season rentals so they could stay free. What advice would you give?
