Recycling is great for the environment and we should all be doing it (in spite of my title), but reusing is even better. When you can reuse or re-purpose an item, you are not only saving it from the landfills, but you are also saving the expense and energy which would have been expended when you recycle. Coffee can.

Head to your local craft store and buy a bottle of glow in the dark paint. Using a paint brush paint them with the glow in the dark paint. Break up into teams and give each team a flashlight or two. Younger children can even make their own musical instruments if they wish using recycled materials.
